About the Brazil?

As any other place in the World, Brazil has its pros and cons. The main difference however is that Brazil is the most welcoming country in the World. The population is a big mix of European descendents, African descendents, Japanese, Lebanese, Chinese, Jewish, Brazilian Indians and we all live in harmony. If you are a peoplesperson, you will definitely enjoy Brazil.
The other point is that Brazil is so big that there are so diverse scenarios, climates and lifestyle: hot sands of Rio, the tropical forest of Manaus, the European-like life of Santa Catarina and Porto Alegre, the all-year round warm weather and chill-out climate of Salvador, Recife, Natal and Fortaleza and the megalopolis of Sao Paulo which impresses even New Yorkers...
So, depending on your lifestyle it could be the BEST place in the World.

I love Brasil & have many links there (I am Scottish). As to whether or not I would love to live there ... not at the moment.

The reasons:

1: Too much Bureaucracy
2: Too much corruption at government level just now
3: Unequal share of wealth
4: Transport systems aren't the best

I have to say though the Brasilian people are amongst the friendliest & most wonderful people I have ever encountered. If the things above were sorted out i'd move in a heartbeat.

I have been twice to Brazil, love it but wouldnt like to live there basically becaise of the language! Brazilian portuguese (very different than portugal's portuguese) is practically only spoken in Brazil and although I know some words, it;s quite difficult to speak. IIf it were for the food, people and views, yes I'd love to live there.

Mine is also a yes and no.
The polution is pretty bad. BUT the people are very kind and party week! I'm half brazilian and I have been there like 7 times and I love it! But, don't let them know that you are not brazilian because if you were like buying a coconut they could easily change the price. Brazil's beaches are the best I must say. Way better then any americas beaches. I live in america soo..ya. But anyways I'm not sure if I would move or not!

I think it really depends. I have met foreigners and specially Americans who visited and/or lived there and they absolutely loved - to my surprise.
Brazil has many problems we all know them (no need to mention) but I think all other countries got issues too,so no place is perfect (this is my opinion).

I was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I have lived in Europe & Canada for few months, lived in Tokyo for 3 years and lived in the US for more than 7 years (current living in New York) and I don't think none of these countries are perfect. they all got good and bad things. I love Brazil and the only reason I left was to experience the world, now it is time for me to go back and start a family. So I would definitely live in Brazil (moving there next july). Even though Brazili can be a dangerous and corrupt country, there are many qualities that I didn't find in any other country such as the pleasure of living your life with very little money you got, the people's warmness, the stress-free lifestyle, the smile of people's face when they are together with their families, etc...

hahahaha I'm here right now bro...College exchange program for a year.
having the time of my life learn portugues and probably will never be with so many womans in my life.
Is nice, people are nice things are cheap and you can party every week...but is violent and not anywhere close to the US in terms of order.

I love this place, too bad I leave in 2 months : (

I am Brazilian and love these parents, here all the nationalities, races and religions live in harmony. Here he has violence but only in few places, I am writing of Brazil, I have days that I see yahoo answers of the others paises.

i was born in rio de janeiro and now i live in florida. it depends where your going.. but i wouldnt live there because brazilians take advantage of people who are new to brazil. so like if your not from brazil dont live there cause they'll notice but like for me theres no problem
to visit is perfect though

Yes, and No. I am Jamaican, my CoWorker is from Rio. We go back and forth all the time about the good and bad points of both countries. I would live in Rio, only because I am used to 3rd world politics and lifestyle.. The average American would find a huge culture shock if moving to Brazil or any other South American country.
