Hey, i'm brazilian and live in Rio.
If you're coming to stay in a hotel, most of them have 110v and 220v sockets, but, at home, the usual is 110v.
The plug is like this:

Been to Brazil 5x. No need for cell phone chargers (as long as you remember to bring one!). Also assuming you're coming from the States.
And have a wonderful trip to Brazil, it's a magnificent country. |

All cell phone charger have 2 voltage, 110/220v.
In Rio de Janeiro we use 110v. Your cell phone will charge without problem. |

Hello.
In Rio de Janeiro the voltage is 210V, so you won't have problems, I believe.
For more information, I suggest that you visit http://www.brazilhotel-link.com/ or http://www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/brazil/rio-de-janeiro/ .
On the Lonely Planet website there is info about plugs and adapters right on the front page link!
Hope that it helps! |
