Best place on earth. But them I was born and raised there :)

Salvador is a wonderful place to visit. Most places should be pretty cheap right now since this is not high season. Try to search for "pousadas" they are like bed and breakfast places and a little better priced then hotels. Location is key in Salvador. Try to stay in "Rio Vermelho" since it is the only good bairro that close to everywhere.
