Hang around with cool "cariocas" and you'll be fine. Street life, beaches, good places to eat, museums, nature at its best, pretty girls, boys... whatever u like, favelas, good weather, it can all be real cool. |

well, be prepared to see a beautiful city with a lot of dangerous ghettos around, those are called Favelas and I would recommend you not to drive there, traffic in Rio is just insane, it's both ofensive and defensive and it stresses you out, believe me.
I'm from Brazil and honestly if I could I would remond everyone to go to a different part of Brazil, there are so many beautiful places besides Rio... like Salvador, Recife, Fernando de Noronha... etc.
