Hello there! We have something in common :) I'm Brazilian too. The only difference is that I've been here for 12 years instead of 9. Here are some tips:

1. Before going back, make sure you "legalize" all of your school documents through the brazilian consulate. Just go to www.brazilmiami.org, click on "serviƧos consulares" and follow the instructions of what to do. It's all done via mail, costs only 5 bucks and the whole thing should be done in a couple of weeks. If you don't "legalize" your diploma/school records, the brazilian government won't recognize it and finding a job may be hard to do.

2. You can get a CPF form from the consulate website as well. That also costs 5 bucks.. I just don't know how long it'll take. The CPF is equivalent to a "brazilian social security number". Without it, you can't do anything!!! If you don't have a CPF you won't even be able to exchange your dollars to reais when you get to Brazil.

3. Other necessary documents that you'll need to get if you plan on working in Brazil are: your RG, "carteira de trabalho" and titulo de eleitor because in Brazil voting is NOT optional. Unfortunately, the only thing you'll be able to get from the brazilian consulate is your CPF. The other ones you'll have to wait till you're in Brazil.

4. Because you've been living in the US for over 12 months, you have the RIGHT to take anything you'd like to take with you but in order to do that, you have to prove that you've been here for over a year by providing items such as bills, your school records, etc, etc, etc. Just take that with you to the airport and if they ask you show it to them. Additionally, it might also be a good idea to get a "declaração de residencia" from the brazilian consulate. If you have that plus the proof that you've been here for over 12 months, there's no way they'll charge any kind "taxes" for the items you bring in.

I hope this helps!!

In addition to the previous answer, do not forget to get two other documents: RG and Carteira de trabalho.
Since military service is mandatory at the age of 18, you should check how to get your situation ok.
Welcome back.
