Best places to visit in Brazil during March?

I'm taking trip to Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) in March of 2007 for my birthday for 7 days and with two friends. What are some great places to visit during this time? I want to experience as much native culture as possible. If you know of any clubs, bars, musems, etc... all is welcomed

March is the PERFECT Time.. thats when i go.
Nice weather.. nice beaches.. and right after carnival so all the tourists already left. Rio is nice.. but if you want to experience culture.. visit Salvador.. its even nicer then Rio.. and my fav city.. The heart of Brazil. i would at least spend 4 days in each city if possible.

4 things you must do is :

- Make sure you take a city tour of both..
- eat at a churrascoira (brazilian barbecue) they are world famous for it
-drink their famous alcoholic drink the caipirinha.
- and go to a Capoeira show (their martial arts) in Salvador

if you leave brazil without experiencing thos.. then.. you haven't seen brazil.

Boa Sorte
