Brazil is a wonderful unique destination. This vast country is full of colors, flavors, life!
Brazil is a mix of many different cultures reflected in different accents. A rich amazing culture in every peace of land spread by most of the eastern part of the South American continent.
Like anything vast and rich, it is difficult to understand by reading only, you must go and see for yourself. Pack and go! |

I lived in Brasil for several months and I can say that I loved my experience there. I love the people - friendly and fun; I love the food - from the churrascarias to street fairs to fresh fruits and veggies; I love the music - whether it be MPB or samba or Brazilian jazz; I love futebol (or soccer, if you prefer) - best in the world; I love the culture, the beaches the scenery - from the Amazon to Guanabara, the 'mountains' of Campos do Jordao, Iguacu Falls; I love the excitement and energy of Sao Paulo.
I would love to tour the Amazon from headwaters to delta - seeing the animals and people and places. |

I was born and raised in Brazil.
Oh BTW Santiago is not a city in Brazil but it it capital of another country, Chile.
Many tourist goes to Rio because of the warm water beaches, sugar loaf, and also to the slums called favelas (you will be amazed on how has become popular around turists from other countries.
Sao Paulo is a very big city, just like Mexico D.F, many buildings, many cars... probably like NYC but more 10x more the amount of buildings.
Lots of turists also goes to the East Coast where the tie with the ex colonizers and tie with Africa is still very much alive such as in Bahia.
Up north we have a great Amazon river and of course the forest. The noth side where I am from is less developed and is more lush, lots of biology type of people goes to conferences up north.
Food in every region is different too.
Brazil is a melting pot. It has the second largest japanese population after Japan. Many European descent are in the Southern part of the country. Also lots of Lebanese.
I like the mix of people and the culture the most. |

Brazil is very much a country of contrasts. When someone hears the word Brazil, one thinks of the great Amazon forest, fantastic beaches, great soccer players, Carnival time - and that's all. Well, Brazil, the most important country in South America, certainly has MUCH more to offer - warm people, great cities with everything from slums to high technology, a wide range of weather patterns, an awesome mixture of cultures and races - and much more!
I live in Brazil. |

it seems you guys are dreaming with open eyes, make no mistake in misjudging a country with so much poverty, social unbalance where a few make millions while most of the citizens barely can eat, very low cultural, social and political profile, 80% earn minimum wage(220US or even less)...
but if you´re coming for a visit, expect to face misery and poverty begging some of what you´ll be eating in a beach restaurant.
It´s a beatiful natural country in hell |

Brazil is a vast country. For a visitor it almost impossible to
get a realistic attraction of true spirit of Brazil. Santiago is
just like another city. There are lot to see and enjoy in Rio.
In Rio there are something for every taste and interest.
People I met were all very welcomming and open. Which
is a plus for any country.
But from Manaus and onwards, the Amazonas is something
one can not ever experience in anywhare else. And this is the reason that i would say that Brazil is my dream destination. |
