Rio de Janeiro Dengue Ferver is just on West Zone and Lake areas.
Don't have Dengue ferver on Copacabana.
But I recommend you use a insect repellent, It's perfect, insects hate repellent. And Brazilian insects prefer legs...
Have a nice holiday.
Here is some pics of Rio to you:

No! The disease already declined enough.
Rio de Janeiro is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, it is worth visiting. It has everything and is developed.
This disease has declined significantly and do not hear more cases. |

i don`t believe it could be really dangerous for you.the dengue is worse in the poorer places of the city.if you stay in a good hotel, it won`t be a really big deal..and don`t forget to bring some money or credit cards because,if you unfortunately get sick, you`d better going to a hospital you can pay.the public hospitals don`t work really good here.but i recommend you to vaccinate in the airport when you arrive in rio.or before coming.and use repellent too. |

Don't cancell, i'm brazilian and I watch international tv which tells a lot more info abou it..when you get there, look for a private hospital and take the vaccine that prevents it..don't go on a public one because you'll stay in line for the whole day (litterally)
use repellente, but it won't prevent as much as the vaccine that's what i heard on the brazillian news.
Anyways...enjoy your trip, and I hope you are not goin' there to go to the beach because it's winter there!!
