Brazilian teenagers loves hip hop, rock, and pop in general, principally if they spoken in English.
Gil, Veloso, Betania are singers of the so-called MPB (stands for Brazilian Popular Music) a style that is considered to be of high quality all over the world. In terms of popularity, MPB has nothing to do with Rolling Stones' sold-out concerts. Its public is smaller, however faithful.
Unfortunatelly quality and popular not always are together. That's the reason Brazilian teenagers don't usually appreciate MPB. When they grow up, this situation tends to change. |
