I think Brazilians can be some of the kindest most wonderful people in the world. The people I encountered were very kind to foreigners and the women are soooo unbelievably beautiful, in great shape, and they know how to style.

I have visited to Brazil 4 times (Rio, Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte) and it gets better with each visit. I would say that Brazil gets better when you travel OUTSIDE Rio and SP, because there can be less commericialism and opportunists. I felt like I was at home because of their hospitality. Many people there don't have much, but they are willing to share what they have. Some are very religious, and while there are poor areas and dangerous areas, it is no different from most other countries. I have become a big fan of soccer (futbol) and I wish it was more respected in the USA.

I have visited the favelas and seen the intense poverty. I also do sponsorship for a Brasiliero child living in Contagem. But if I could live in one Brasilian city, then it would be Belo Horizonte. It is not too commercial and it has the best of everything.

I love the people and the language. Brazil is like my 2nd home now. Eu amo Brasil muito!

Hello Dear
In my opinion Brazilian people are lovely. Not just in a ‘Girl from Ipanema’ kind of way2, but also in their warmth, friendliness, openness and generosity. I could give a slew of examples of the thoughtful and welcoming way in which we were treated—-despite our mostly lamentable lack of Portuguese—-but one instance in particular will probably illustrate it well.
After a day’s work, our rather large party (more than 20 people) set out for the nearest bar, to which we’d been the previous night. Unfortunately it was closed (possibly because we had provided a week’s takings in a single night), so we moved on to the next one on the block. This place was tiny, and only had a handful of chairs—-certainly not enough to seat all of us. We didn’t mind very much and were happy to stand, but noticed as we were ordering beers and sorting ourselves out that the few locals already in the bar were disappearing. I worried that we’d driven them out, but a few moments later they re-emerged from all directions, carrying chairs from their own houses for us to sit on.
Best of Luck Dear

I live in southern florida where many Brazilian people live. They seem to be very happy and friendly people but they are the worst drivers, as a group, on the face of the planet. Maybe traffic patterns are very different in Brazil, but oh my goodness, watch out!

Cara Kosi,

well, that's a bit like saying do you like Italians or French people? I know a lot of Brasilians and have Brasilian family, everyone is different. Brasilians are warm and hospitable.
Here in England it is assumed that Brasilians are all beautiful looking people. In London you can always spot Brasilians because they are well dressed and stylish. I think Brasilians are attractive but a little obsessed with appearance or dare I say...what people think of them ;)

Hello everyone.

I'm a Brazilian as well. I would say that we have a good sense of humor, we are very friendly with tourists in general, we like to joke and laugh, and we are very different than other south americans and people around the world!
