Does anybody else out there know Sorocaba (SP) & what do they think of the place?
My wife is from Sorocaba, but she always tells me there is nothing to do there whenever we are in Brasil (LOL), even though Sorocaba is one of the more historic cities in Sao Paulo. What do other people think? Additional Details People, I have visited Sorocaba many times, so this question is not from a point of view of never having visited there. I think there is a lot to do there historically, but my wife doesn't. I just want to know if you agree with her or me.
I agree with your wife. Theres nothing much adoing there. But then, maybe I am more of a city person. If you like the quiet life then Sorocaba is for you.

I've been in Sorocaba once and i agree with your wife, there is not much to do there.
But as your wife is from there, i think it would be fair enough if you visit the place at least once, so you could probably agree with her, or not.
Sometimes we just have to see, or get to know, with our own eyes.

I agree. I visted my brother who lives in Sorocaba this past summer. I didn't like hows theres no open land .. like parks .. or a place to jog thats not on the side of the streets. Theres also way too many hills.. when you're driving you re either going up a hill or down a hill.. its scary .. especially with the streets being narrow.. heh.. I heard that the crime there is good though. We didn't do much when i visited.. just went out to eat.. and visited the Zoo. why dont yall just visit one day .. to see for yourself ?
