Hello there!

I never been to Floripa, so I don't know much about thing to do, places to eat and stuff.

But I'm pretty shure that Florianopolis people are very kind and friendly, just as every Brazilian! I highly recommend a visit.

When it is good to go?

The ideal is in summer, FlorianÃ³polis is in southern Brazil and in the winter is cold, but in the summer are the best beaches you have seen.

What to do?
You can live very well then, you can do sports, swimming in beautiful beaches, in short, depends on your taste.

Crime rate?
Very low, almost none, FlorianÃ³polis is an island and the police there is very good also, if there is bandit and bad.

Have clubs, bars, a night life interesting.

The people are very good, many descendants of Europeans.

Where to stay?
It depends on how much money you have.
There are different qualities and prices of hotels, inns and even campsites.

The food is very good, natural and cheaply.
To find out what the best restaurants is just see what people are eating more.

omggg!!!! FLORIPA!!!!!
hey dude, im just a little 16 year old white girl who just got back from my first international vacation and it was to FLORIPA!!!

-i went on December 20th-January 3rd and the weather was AWESOME. About 3 of my days there were rainy, but even in the rain it is beautiful. It is still so so warm and awesome to be outside and play in the beautiful florianopolis rain.

-What to do...well. my favorite part was the BEACHES!! they are beautiful. Surfing, kite surfing, parachuting...the parties are insane!

-Try requeijÃ£o!!! it is soooo good on bread and rolls yum yum yum!! also you HAVE to try ACAI!!!! its amazing as well.

-The crime rate is like, so not bad. I freekin walked around in my bikini with my wallet in my hand and 2000 dollar camera around my neck and didnt feel one bit uncomfortable at all.

-Clubs and bars. omg go to all of them.

-THE PEOPLE ARE AMAZING!!! everyone is sooo friendly with hugs and kisses. My best friend lives in Floripa and he introduced me to a lot of his friends. Within 5 minutes someone can be your best friend. A lot of people I met spoke English, it is required to learn in school. Even poeple who dont speak english usually speak some spanish and if not, they are still just so friendly without speaking. Its awesome.

-BARRA DA LAGOA!!!! its the best place in the whole island. I dont know if you are looking for somewhere cheap or somewhere nice but in barra there is a hostel type place called like the backpackers inn or something. it is cheap.

hahaha sorry, i am not brazilian but i just couldnt help myself talking about my favorite place in the world!!!!
