I've just arrived in Sao Paulo from India and I'm here for about a month. Wanted to spend a weekend in Rio but have been warned by people not to go on my own. Looking for company. Any one interested? Also any idea what the flight charge from Sao Paulo to Rio would be?
Hi
If you want to fly from S. Paulo to Rio you should try this air company http://www.voegol.com.br/. They usually have the best prices.
If you have time we can also go by bus, which is quite goof and not expsnive at all. It takes abou 5 / 6 hours.
By plane is much quicker (about 35 / 40 minutes) and sometimes the air companies do some promotions and the prices are as cheap as by bus. But don´´t forget that you have to go from SP-airport / airport-Rio and it takes some time.
If you fly, try to leave from Congonhas Airport (SP) and arrive in Santos Dumont Airport (Rio). The other airports are a bir far away from downtown.
Have a nice trip.

Go,you'll never forgive youself if you don't go to one of the top tourist destinations on earth. Rio offers it all and you'll need more than a couple of days to cover what they offer.By all means, get a companion to go with and be senseable about where you go.Keep to the better beaches and plan your nights in a nice indoor enviiorment.Don't be flashy and don't take expensive items to the beach.Don't wear an expensive watch or jewelry.Brazil has a well developed airline system and fares between the two major cities won't be essesive. Flight time is a little more than a half hour.Check with Verig or one of the smaller airlines for the fares.ENJOY.
