Natal is not the greatest town in Brazil, but it has great beaches, some great Sand dunes, and some night life which can be fun!

Hello you again, I thought you had gone to Natal already, they have Carnaval this week !

Valentina
I visited Natal last December. It was my first time there and I was by myself. I stayed in a small Hotel at Pontanegra beach, met very nice people everywhere I went and I felt safer there than I ever did living in London. The food is delicious, the people are welcoming, the weather is good nearly all year round, and the lakes and dunes are fantastic! You have NOTHING to worry about.

It depends. If your friend lives in a wealthy area, I'm sure it's pretty safe. If your friend lives in a poor area, there is probably a lot of crime and gang activity, so it's probably not very safe at all.
