Help with Brazil questions?

Okay, I am doing a project on Brazil for school and I have a few questions that I'm not sure of.

What do the people do in their economy to make a living? My teacher is very picky about specifics. He would mark it wrong if I put something like, "farmers, clerks, waiters" because every country has those. I need the facts, like statistics or something.

What has Brazil done to change their environment? (Be sure to include agriculture and mining.)

I need these answers ASAP, as the project is due in a couple days.
Thanks!
Additional Details
fyi, i do do my homework. and u dont know how much time i spent on this project! that was a couple questions out of hundreds!
