The end of April is a bit like Autumn, although there are only really two seasons in Brasil. Winter and Summer.
That said it rarely gets below 20C :P
The weather is likely to be cool and less humid. Expect rain. But take shorts :P
Why Sao Paulo and not Rio? |

You don't say where you are travelling from. Actually i'm off to Brasil for a month a week on Sunday. My wife has family in Sorocaba (Sao Paulo State). I'm travelling from Scotland myself. Sao Paulo is huge & like verywhere you have to take care in the city. Pay special attention on the underground as pickpockets are rife there. I've only visited Sampa (Sao Paulo) once, but it seemed that with the correct precautions it could be a great place to visit. |

Are you coming for holiday?
I'm brazilian, and I know my country very well, my advice for you would be not to go to São Paulo or not only São Paulo, because there is not much to see, it is like any other cities in the world but with many more people and trafic jam.
Brazil is a very big country and there are many many beautiful places to go, in my opinion if you go to São Paulo for Holiday it is waste of money.
Take a look at these websites, there are many options of good detinations in Brazil.

Yeah, around April starts winter which means cooler and drier weather down south. It'll be pleasant I suppose. I would also advise Florianópolis if you wanna stay south. However, if you wanna go to a place that is sunny and warm all year round, I suggest you go to northeastern Brazil where the beaches are fantastic. Natal, Fortaleza, etc.
Have a nice trip! |
