The "white Brazil" is in the south, that don't have a big carnival not even the hot beaches which are in northeastern and in southeastern regions.
Besides, these regions got slaves from Africa when Brazil was a Portugal's colony.

At the carnival the poor people is out there on the streets and the whites are in the camarotes, usually screwing and getting drunk, or high.

This is Because you are watching US and European Tv, which likes to show Brazil as an Africa-like nation (and this is a fact): poor, undeveloped and violent. But, Brazil is a large and competitive nation. Imagine if small countries from Europe begin to present Brazil as a land of whites like them where you find good products, high technology, etc. Many people would desist to travel through Europe, or buy european products to prefer Brazil, its destinations and goods.

You must to watch brazilian shows/TV to see the truth with your own eyes.

Se você se considera latina, é problema seu, mas não decrete que brasileiros não podem ser brancos, mas, latinos, só porque você ouviu algum imbecil dos EUA dizer qu brancos só eles, os russos e mais uma meia dúzia.

You are wrong, Brazil is a mixed country, we have a lot Japanese (believe or not), german, italian, portuguese, chinese, for example my father is germam. When you see tv show about carnival, you see afro- brazilians because they are poor and live in "Favela". Favela people makes carnival works. Almost people who lives in Favela are afro-brazilian.

You see in TV the beaches of Copacabana beach frequented by poor people and for poor tourists (Copacabana has great amount of transport, bus and subway). and in Brazil the afros decedents are poor, the Caucasian are rich ones and their beach is other where the focus of the cameras doesn't enter. Búzios, São Pedro da Aldeia, the islands of Paraty and Itacuruça and as for the Carnival the Caucasian ones are at the Sky-boxes as the government's guests or of the great companies or they are in the dances of the gran-fine hotels of the south area.

Aqui e a Joana, pena que nao poderia responder denovo nessa pergunta. Bom, o que voce nao entendeu e que a maioria aqui dos estados unidos acham que ser "branco" eh ter a pele clara, mas ser BRANCO e ser da europa, para aquele lado. Levesque NAO e meu ultimo nome, fikdik. Por isso que eu pedi para nao chamar os Brasileiros de branco, porque a definicao de branco realmente e ser da Europa.
