How do I get my visa for my passport when coming to Brazil?

Hi, I am getting my passport back on March 21st, I am leaving for Brazil on April 1st. Can I get my visa when I fly into Rio De Janeiro from Atlanta, Georgia, USA? Do I have to wait to get my visa before I come to Brazil or can I get it on arrival? If so how and where do I get it? Any info would help. Thanks guys!

When you do your visa through mail.. it usually takes about a month .. from the time you mail it off.. and you receive it back.

YOU HAVE TO GET IT IN ATLANTA
since you dont have that much time.. go here .. its the brazilian consulate of Atlanta..

http://www.aneki.com/consulate/Brazilian_consulate_atlanta.html
and contact them as soon as possible..

call them.. and see how much faster you can obtain your visa if you go to the consulate in person .. i dont know if they can do it right there and then for you. if they cant.. you can get the visa expedited .. (pay extra for a faster process)
the visa will cost about $100... +whatever they charge you if you need it expedited. In order to get your visa.. you have to give them your passport.. so .. as soon as you get your passport on March 21 .. see about your visa.. or else u wont be allow into the country.

Brazil is beautiful !! ... i took a tour of the country 2 summers ago and it was the time of my life ! I highly suggest visiting Salvador, Bahia if you can =)

Boa Sorte

You must get your Visa BEFORE leaving the US, or they will send you back home when you arrive in Brazil.
I'm not sure if there will be time enough to make it, though. Call a visa center and check if you can do some paperwork even without the passport.
And enjoy Brazilian sun!

You need to get a visa through the consulate of Brasil in your area, and you also need about one week to get one, they need 2 pictures, and the fee.....they are strict in handing out visas

You have to have a visa before you enter the country. There are many Brazilian visa services. It seems that many of the people working in the embassy and consulates have friends or relatives owning visa services. The cost is between $150 and 250
If you live close to a Brazilian consulate maybe you can go there in person. but they will probably refer you to the visa service next door.http://brazil.visahq.com/

As other posters have mentioned, you must have a visa to enter into Brazil. If you do not have a visa you stay will be short and in a small room in the airport until the next flight home. Actually you will never depart Atlanta because the airlines will want to see your visa which will be stamped into your passport. If one is not there, you do not fly.

When I applied for my visa it took about a week via Fed Ex. I had my visa quick because I used a service. I used www.SamsPassport.Com in Houston, Texas. I know there are many passport services.

You will need to quality passport size photos. See instructions on visa application.

If you live in Georgia you will need to get your visa through the Brazilian Consulate in Maimi. I don't know why this is, it just works like that. See links as to Brazilian Consulates.

Good luck and enjoy. It is a wonderful country.
