How far is mooca from sao paulo (gru) airport? |
and about how much will it cost to take a taxi from airport to mooca, and do you know of any good hotels in mooca close to night clubs that don't cost too much money? or should i just stay in a hostel in that area. |

Mooca is around 30 min. by car to the Guarulhos airport.
A taxi will cost around 60 - 90 reais or 35 - 50 dollares.

Mooca is a middle class Italian borough, just southeast from "CENTRO" Downtown. The taxi fare might set you back $25-30, it may take you 15-20 min, depending on traffic jam, Sat & Sun are way better though. The Mooca borrough doesn't have as much night clubs as you might think, it use to be a industrial borrough now mainly residential.
When i go to SP or any other city I stay in FLATS, it's just like a hotels , however you have a lot more freedom to bring people up to your room (if you know what I mean), on conventional hotels they will charge you everytime a girl comes up. Try the borroughs closest to the Paulista Ave., such as Jardins, Pacaembu', Moema, Morumbi.
Hate to brake it to you but once there you will spend some dough, due to the weaker dollar, everything there is "dollarized" a t-shirt there cost just as much here, but in reais.Good luck to you and be cool once there, do not act like this American bad a$$, above anyone there, those people are smart and if you act cool they will give you the shirts off their back |
