Starts at 32,00 and goes all the way to 112,00.
Your situation since GRU is in Guarulhos (city nearby Sao Paulo) they have direct bus service to Rio's bus station.
From Rio's station a taxi into Gig costs 20,00 (set price) and takes 10/15 minutes.
Once you get in the bus put all your luggage in the bus's trunk. Once I carried a lap top with me, was robbed and they didn't pay for it. The law says they are only responsible for luggage in the trunk.
I sued and won, but took quite a while.
Itapemirim has a service between the 2 cities called GOLDEN that costs around 60,00 and it's pretty good and confy.

If you can afford the plane ticket, by all means do it.
If this guy thinks Rio's station is in a poor location, wait until he sees Guarulhos.
But the plane is around 450,00 nowadays with high oil prices.

I guess about R$ 150,00. But I think you should go by plane (Rio's bus station is the ugliest place that I've seen in Brazil, and I know almost all brazilians capitals). That's why I hate Rio de Janeiro.

I think it's about $100 reals. And you're probably best to book there. I don't think there will be any websites. Go to the bus terminal when you arrive... if you don't speak portuguese write down the destinations with a question mark, and learn how to say "how much?" - think it is quanta questa?. Take paper and pen!
