How much should I expect to pay for a nice 4 bedroom apartment in Rio de Janeiro?

I am moving to Rio for two years. What would the monthly rent be for a nice apartment in a nice bairro (Urca, Leblon, Impanema, Barra) cost? If you can provide a range that would be helpful as well since I know that the word "nice" is relative.

Enjoy the stay. Obviously the longer you stay, the less you are going to pay for an apartment. While I can't give you a cost, here is the link to the lady I rent places from when I go there. http://www.vannarioflats.com.br/scripts/home/home.asp Vanna is honest, hard working and will give you a good deal. E-mail her and tell her what you want and if possible, she'll fix you up with a place. You might want to think about renting a place for a month and ask around once you get there. That way, you aren't obligated to some place that isn't nice. You obviously are going there for some reason, so ask the people that you are going to see/work for, etc.

Barra is very expencive, 4 bedroom is about 3500/4500 reais or more,
Urca, Leblon e Ipanema between 2500/3500 reais.

It depends where you want to live, Ipanema is better because it is near to everything, so you don't even need a car if you live there.
I am sending to you a site with prices all right?
