Yes. We have good hardware and network technology in Brazil. I can assure this.

My opinion is that, my city, Rio, is the best choice for your career.

Market is in expansion, the state is the richest in Brazil (people from São Paulo like to say it about their state, but, it's not true) and, ALL brazilian specialists in hardware and networks, learn this reading books of cariocas - native people from Rio is called "carioca" - authors like Gabriel Torres and Laércio Vasconcelos.

Laércio is an electronic engineer by brazilian Militar Institute of Engineering, Rio de Janeiro, where he have a school with good courses and, maybe you must to take some study here to be accepted in a company, if your diploma or certified is not valid or recognized in Brazil.

An intensive course in a week for some US$ 100.00 may be enough for to install networks if you have experience.

So, there's no doubt: Rio is the best, and have a wonderful nature and beautiful babes on the beaches.

But, don't forget: in Brazil, you still stay in America, because we are in the american continent. The same of the USA.

You should go to Sao Paulo or Rio de Janerio. Yes some of their technology is veery good. Sao Paulo is probably the better state because not only is it the richest state, it has many good oppertunities. There is a city right outside of Sao Paulo city calle Sao Jose dos Campos, really good oppertunities. Just so you know you are getting this from a Texan that has family in Brazil, and might be relocating too, at the moment I am in Brazil, learnig to surf.

Try a big city like Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo. That's where you are most likely to have the best opportunities. If you only speak English, you are better off in Rio where there are many professionals who speak conversational or better, English. Good luck!

Hi,
Although cities in the South and Southeast regions are larger, here in Recife (Pernambuco - Northeast region) there´s a project called Porto Digital.
I think you will find it interesting.

This site is in English.

Definitely Sao Paulo. Big companies like Google have offices there. Take a look at one of the job sites like Monster or Hotjobs. They have International job listings.
