It could be at Vila Madalena, a great place with pubs/restaurants and near the subway (you will really need it in Sao Paulo). Or, maybe, at Jardins, near Paulista Avenue (its the place more similar to NYC) and the subway too. Higienopolis is also good, but subway will be ready there just in 2012. |

I agree with the Jardins area. Always a good pick and centrally located. I'm a Brazilian from Sao Paulo, who used to live in Rio and now lives in NYC so I can relate to liking busy cities. |

Yesterday I saw a TV program where the host said that São Paulo is a mix of Los Angeles and New York, and I think he is right.
I recommend an apt in Moema is a good area in São Paulo!!! |
