I want to make a casino in a favela in Brazil, is it a good idea?

Hello .. No, a casino in the favela is not a good idea ( even if you could pull that off in the favela, which is unlikely anyway ).

Have you ever seen the great Brazilian movie City Of God ( Cidade De Deus )? They have basically nothing in the favela, living on $2 per day. Many of them have to beg the tourists in the street for money, just to survive. And there is much robbery and killings there.

They certainly don't need one more way to lose the little money that they have. And knowing the way the drug lords operate in the favela ( which is mostly un-policed anyway ), they would surely find a way to get their hands on the profits. And the police are corrupt there, so they would get their piece of it also.

Please save the casino for a neighborhood that can afford it. There is a very small section of the Brazilian population that might welcome idea, because very few can afford to spend their money that way.

And please watch the great movie City Of God. It's a true story, and it is tastefully done.

I think who is bad idea because casino isnt aproved by lower of Brazil. The criminal low (since 1940) have serius difficult by this, because the cassino, here, dont pay the tributs. Favelas is localized under mountains, and the people who live there is very poor, haever 95 % of your population is work (but poor). The others 5% is traffics and the traffics is deshonest, violenty and would died people of casino - this is a big problems to progress in favelas.

Favellas are some of the most dangerous places in the world. You can't just go in and buy land to build some dream casino. And even if you did some how get a piece of land in a favella to build on, no one would come to it. I have spent a lot time in Brasil. We don't even take short cuts through favellas or go anywhere near them because we do not feel like being kidnapped or being completely robbed.
