If I opened up a Mexican cantina? |
Hello I was wondering if anyone has ever opened up a Mexican cantina in Copacabana or in Sao Paulo, serving good Mexican style dishes like enchiladas verde with fresh bonless chicken and fresh cooked shrimp with Monterrey jack
and a little sour cream, of course in a tortilla and chopped cilantro coveredwith a light touch of green salsa. also their could be a bar that serves drinks as well alcohol or no alcohol.
Would it be succesful I could put the menu in Portugese and the price reasonable. Could it work? Please if you can post nice comments with no neggativity please thanks. |

In Brazil, Mexican food it´s not popular, but in big international cities like São Paulo and Rio you have a good chance, if you know how to handle food business.
Here in São Paulo, I know at least two Mexican restaurants that are always busy.
Good luck! |

I can't say with market knowledge, but I guess would work, I never heard about a person that does not like Mexican food. Just make sure to recognize your goal public, that I also guess should be like class A and B as economic level. |

Granted, it has been several years since I lived in Brazil, but I would have loved to have had a nice Mexican restaurant to enjoy.
There are many cuisines available in Brazil, particularly Sao Paulo and Rio, but when I lived there, Mexican cuisine was not around.
I think folks there would be very interested in Mexican food - it is quite different from what is typically considered Brazilian food. |

Yeah!
I would go for sure!
As long as the place looks good and clean, I don't think there would be any problem. |
