for me they seem to have white and black heritage.and maybe something more.technically, i`d say they are mestiços or miscigenados(mixed).but in general,i guess people would think about them as being black, because their facial features tends more to this.but of course ,i can`t answer for all brazilians.

Both are considered black, but, the second, less dark, can be called "mulato", mixed black+white in the second, third or previous generation.

I was born and raised in Brazil. In school we learn about whites, mulatos, pardos and blacks. Those two could be considered "pardos," however that description is very rarely used these days. I would say they are black. Mulatos are even lighter skinned.

Rabbit Feet
i think in brazil they would be called "NEGAO"

Espirito do vento
The both men would be considered Black in Brazil, they're light skinned blacks.

In the birth certificate it would be written as "pardo" but are called popularly of mulattoes.
In spite of the word mulatto to have origin extremely preconcept it is not seen with the pejorative sense. The word mulatto comes from the word mule, that it is the horse crossing with donkey.
Of a research done starting from the Census of IBGE 1988, when they asked the Brazilian no-white individuals which it wtheirher skin color, resulted more than 130 colors. All this for not saying “black”. they Had clear mulatto, darkness, carnation color, of cinnamon, dirty white... You find any Brazilian one no-politicized that he says to be brunet to avoid the word black. That is consequence of the own ideology that inferior the black color.
The word mulatto was the more used among the interviewees.
