In Rio do they have fishing tours?
Meaning like a private guide to take you out fishing. What other things could a person do in Rio, also were is the best and safest inexpensive place to shop in Rio I know around Copacabana everything is expensive so any suggestions?
Ive arranged for guests going on fishing tours in Buzios (2 hours north of Rio, very nice resort, check www.buziosonline.com)
Copacabana is trash. So is Ipanema.
If you are interested in shopping, the malls would be better.
BarraShopping (largest in South America, provided free transportation)
Rio Sul, not far from Copacabana
And São Conrado Fashion Mall, high end shops.
What I think is that you will find everything expensive in Rio.
Brazil is expensive for shopping nowadays.
São Paulo ranks 31 on most expensive cities in the world, Rio 34.
Some items are still cheap, but overall it´s more of a see atractions sort of place.
Buzios is really nice.

my friend you are surrounded by the atlantic ocean . of course they have fish trips. ask your manager at the hotel you are staying at they will put anything you want togeather. last year i was in cuaiba brazil and i stayed at the pantanel where i caought piraanha. that was exciting. i never fished in rio . i tell you what if your on copacabana beach down where the meridian is there are mountains at the end. i see people using light tackle fishing there before. i think casting is more fun then trolling. barras tijuca has a beautiful shoping mall . thats where all the heavy weights live. they have all the top brand stores. personally i like the rio sul in copacabana but thats my opinion. off the subject if you want to go get the best itallion dinner do to de ammiches in copacabana. it is close to alcopulco copacabana and the meridian. man i love the food there. sorry if i wrote to much i just enjoy sharing info on rio de janerio. i cant wait to eat at the barbaeques and eat at mabbs cafe in copacabana. i will be there july 1. when do you plan your journey.
