Is there anywhere I can get a yellow fever shot for free?

I am traveling to Brazil and I know I need to get a yellow fever shot before I go. The local Health Department charges $120. I was hoping to get it cheaper.

I don't think you can get it for free. But if you get it in Brazil instead of in your country. Then it probably will be a lot cheaper than $120.

Zadrii
Yeah, I think whenever you get close to the Amazon and other places that have yellow fever there are little clincs that give out shots for free

Yes actually there is. I was in South America in 2006, and although I did not have a visa fro Brazil, I bought a bike and rode over the border from Uruguay to a carne da salud and they gave me one for free! Just bring a brazilian or two with you and have your passport, I don't know if they do it everywhere but this was in Santana do livramento in the state Rio grande do sul. It was hassle free for me until I got caught afterwards by an immigration officer (the only problem was no visa though;) God Bless and good luck!
