Yes, this is very true.

I believe that the cost is around $130 for US citizens. Rio De Janiero is an AMAZING city and you will have the best time going there around our fall or spring time. Brazil is awesome all year round.

There is no where that I can think of that has the weather of Brazil. More humid then I have ever seen in my life.

What makes you think that Americans should be allowed to visit Brazil without valid visas? Does America allow Brazilians to come amd visit without visas?
Go to Rio in carnival time - unforgettable experience.

Yes American citizens need a visa to go to Brazil. Why, well because the gov't of Brazil says so...that's why. Every country makes their own decision as to whether foreign citizens need permission to enter their country , and Brazil decided that they do. See site below and read the section under "Entry Requirements. There is a link in that section to click on that takes you to the Brazilian embassy site so you may get visa application info.

You need a visa to go to Brazil the same way a Brazilian needs a visa to go to USA,it's the reciprocal law.Like we say here in Brazil the talion law:"An eye for an eye,a tooth for a tooth"!

Hello!

Unfortunately, our government has the reciprocal rule, which means that americans need visas to visit Brazil.

For more details, I suggest the link http://www.brazilhotel-link.com/country_guide#_70934321

Hope you enjoy your stay in Brazil!
