orkut wont do you any good, most people dont use their real names, etc.

the ´phone company in my opinion is your best shot, not the mobile carrier, but the regular phone company.
in pernambuco, the local company is telemar/oi.
www.oi.com.br
on the site you gotta look for "102 online"
its the information, called 102 cause from Brasil phones you cal 102 for information.
now, with city and name you should be able to get his/her phone...
remember, the line could be registered to a family member, so try the last name.
if they are on the book, you should get the number.
provided his is not unlisted.
you cannot search by address, so doesnt make a difference.

good luck

Fast Pace
They probably have a go phone, pre paid. Run out of minutes. Cell is pretty expensive there. Just Google in Portuguese

okay, there is a website kinda myspace.. its called orkut.
just make a profile at www.orkut.com and you can search for your friends. I live in Florida for about 8 years. Moved here and lost contact of my frineds. Once I found out about this website, just by their names and e-mail I got over 300 of my friends contacts.

Good luck buddy. Hope it works for you like it worked for me!

RioGuy.
