He'll get mugged if he's not smart about what he carries around with him. I lived in Brasil for quite some time and true, tourists get mugged sometimes...but only when they walk around with cameras all over them etc. Just tell him to be very alert...and don't flash his US Dollars around. |

I just spent 9 days in Rio's Copacabana area. Your boss's traveI agent sounded like he/she was sidingg on the ultra cautious side. While in Rio, I did not go down small dark streets. Most restaurants and vendors were usually telling us to not go on to the beach after 2100. During the day there was a good presence of Policia Militar, Tourista Police, and Policia Federal. |

It depends where he is going in Brazil. There are some bad places in Brazil that you will get mugged or shot. i would tell your boss to make sure and double check that he is going to a save place. |
