Additional Details I just want to relax and forget about life on a beautiful beach, but my friends are dying to see the Amazon Rainforest. And, of course, we all want to meet Brazilians and make new friends.

yeap, sure. Cabo Frio is a nice tip, but I recommend other ones...
before: the correct clothes you should take depends on what region you're gonna go. In short: if center or south Brazil (S. Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul states...), then get clothes for cold and rainy weather. If north, then the opposite.
My suggestions for beaches: Rio Grande do Sul state coast. Praias: Torres, TramandaÃ. Santa Catarina State: Praia de Florionópolis (it's an island, in fact), or Camburiú.
In Rio state, you might get a lot of beaches. Leblon, Ipanema are the best ones.
If you have lotta money, then go to Porto de Galinhas or Fernando de Noronha (pertaining to Pernambuco state). This last one is incredible. Just read on it on the internet.
Ok. Good luck. Ahhh, Brazilians in general love the nice Americans. Be nice and you'll get along!

The best place to visit in Brazil (to rest) is Cabo Frio city.
It has a lot of beaches and is very safe.
Cabo Frio stays in state of Rio de Janeiro, and it is near Rio de Janeiro City (2 hours by car and 3 hour by bus).
You should take summer clothes.

Search "Cabo Frio" in google maps and wikipedia.
Bye!
Sorry for my bad english.

Owww I feel sorry for you, how can you choose from all the beautiful places that Brazil has? All the suggestions are good but I'll also add Recife,Florianopolis ,Angra dos Reis, Buzios ,Paraty and sooo much more.
If you and your friends want to visit the rain forest, If I not mistaken, you need to take some shoots before you go. But you can check this with the Brazilian Consulate near your area.
Have fun!! |

Hi dear!
July is one of the best mouths to visit Brazil, specially if you are coming to Southeas. The Brazilian Southeast is the best region. You can visit a lot of diferent kinds of places like mouthains, rivers, churches from 18th century. My suggestion is to visit Minas Gerais state, Ouro Preto and Tiradentes are towns that you can not skipp. Except historical monuments you can do cannoying, pant ball and climb hills.
Surely, this will be your best choice.

You and your friends need to decide what it is that you want out of your trip. Brazil is an extremely "diverse" country, and has something for everyone. Once you decide on all the elements you want to include in your trip, then you can pick the area that best serves your needs and wants. Brazil has the most coastal area of any country in the world and some of the best beaches. You can pick a relatively small area and beach hop for 10-12 days without doing the same thing twice. You will want to look at what else the area has to offer also, as you will not want to stay on the beaches in the late afternoon - unless of course you want to look like a lobster! Which reminds me, take plenty of sunscreen (SPF 30 & up) with you, as it is very expensive in Brazil. You will want to use it every day. As far as the Amazon, you will need special shots as it is a less explored area of the country. If this is your first trip to Brazil, I might suggest that you save that area for a future trip unless you are highly adventurous and experienced travelers. July is winter in Brazil, so evening and night temperatures are cooler. Just keep in mind that you are south of the equator, so the further south you go the cooler it gets. Best wardrobe rule for any tropical country: do mix and match, layered clothing to fit the change in temperature. More details can be found on the websites that have already been given to you, along with embratur, which is their official tourism website. Where ever you choose to go I am sure that you will have a most enjoyable time! Bom viagem!! |
