Natal or Recife?

Hello!

I am going for 20 days in Brazil - need to be very selective with my time as in how long to spend my days and where. Leaving Bahia we will head further southeast and need to make a choice between Recife or Natal as we don't have time to do both. Which area would you recommend?

Thanks!

Aggie

Well unfortunately your question doesn't make sense. If you leave Bahia and head southeast you will get further away from Recife and Natal which are both North. Going South you will reach Rio which is beautiful and I recommend it, I also recommend Buzios, Angra and Parati all South. Assuming your choises are Recife OR Natal you will go North. Natal is a much nicer beach are and I recommend it.

I say Natal

Hi!
I prefer Natal. The beaches are better and cleaner than Recife but if you have 20 days in Brazil is a wastefulness of time, spend only in 1 or 2 places.
I'd like to give more suggestions: You can visit Minas Gerais state, there you can see historical towns built in 18century, preserved hills and from Minas Gerais you can go to Rio de Janeiro, by bus from Ouro Preto(the most important of then) to Rio it spends around 6 hours and the view in road is very nice.
Don't miss.
In this web site you can get good informations about Brazil, specially places out of beaten track.

Well! I'd like to tell you that Recife and Natal stay in the Northeast of Brazil, ok? But it doesn't matter.
I've been in Recife for two years ago and I loved it! It's a city with very history, culture and everything else relationed with the past.
It was nice, but if you're going to a place with beach I tell you: Recife ISN'T a good place! Many beaches (I don't know all of them) there warn: Danger! Sharks! Did you understand? Anyway, but it's a cool place.
I've never been to Natal, but what I heard about it is reall y cool, beautiful, wonderful etc. Ok? XOXO
