You have to get a work visa , immigration visa and other documents and possibly so that you won't get lost or get too confused learn the language and the culture as well ... will it be easy ? Yes and no ... it depends on yourself , your capacity and the environment you are in or where you are going to live ... will the salary be far too low to live ? Most of the times or usually yes but sometimes no ... it depends |

I would look into teaching english...
lots of foreigners come here and stay past their visa. just don't get into trouble and you will be okay.. when you go to leave, you will pay a fine, and won't be allowed back in for awhile..
some people teach surfing, or english, getting a good paying job at a hotel might be difficult.. but come down and enjoy.
Good luck.
check out "Rio for Partiers" Guide if you're coming to Rio... |

The first problem is getting a work visa. If you overcome that hurdle, don't expect much of a salary unless you have some marketable skill the hotel can use. If you plan on being a housekeeper, working in the restaurant, front desk clerk, etc. forget it as you might make enough to eat on. Forget Brazil!!!! and most overseas locations as they usually use their people as unskilled (for lack of a better word) workers before granting a visa to a foreigner. |
