I'm not Brazilian but I went to Brazil and PLENTY of them do. Not all of them look stereotypically Brazilian. Brazil was colonized by European Portuguese settlers. White people. So a lot of Brazilians have blue/green eyes, yes. |

Yes, I am not Brazilian but I am married to one. My husband has a grandmother and a couple of uncles on one side that have green eyes and an aunt and a cousin on the other that have blue eyes. He has a number of second cousins with green eyes from both sides. |

Depending on where you go you find different characteristics.
One of the answers named many european countries that colonized Brazil but he forgot the Millions of Africans.
Int he south you'll find a high percentage of fair people, Bahia you will find many African descendants.
On Globo the most popular Brazilian channel it said that 50% of Brazilians are either black or mixed with black so there are more dark people than fair.
I saw many people wtih green eyes and some with blue when I was there. |

thats a silly question.
Brazilians look more less like Americans. My moms side is Brazilian and I'd say maybe 40% of them have light eyes. They are all of either Italian or German descent |

Yes... my father has green eyes, my younger brother has blue eyes... I have a cousin who has blue eyes... well.. many people in my family have blue or green eyes... the bad thing is that I don't...
Brazil has a huge variety of races and ethnic groups... so you'll find all colors of skin, hair, eyes and so on... it's a little hard to recognize a brazilian just by his/her looks. |

Yes, my father has green eyes, in spite of him to be cabloco (mestizo), or be descending of Brazilian Indians and Portuguese.
and I also have a blonde niece, my sister-in-law is descending of Swisses and my brother is very clear seems well with the Portuguese type. He is a lot similar to my mother, my niece was born blonde of green eyes.
Already I am cabloca am also a lot similar to my father have the brunet skin and depending on the amount of light my eyes is green however they are almond color.
Here in Brazil it is not uncommon to have ne.gros with green eyes, or of the color very clear caramel. |

It's common in Brazil, because Brazil is a nation of immigrants. About 50 nations have colonized our country. 25 nations from Europe and other 25 nations from the rest of the world. Blue or green eyes are very common in many of these nations.
The population of Brazil is 196 million of inhabitants. The nations who gave the origins to Brazilian people are:
PORTUGAL - 32 million of descendants in Brazil;
ITALY - 25 million of descendants in Brazil;
GERMANY - 18 million of descendants in Brazil;
SPAIN - 15 million of descendants in Brazil;
HOLLAND - 3,5 million of descendants in Brazil;
POLAND - 2 million of descendants in Brazil;
UKRAINE - 1 million of descendants in Brazil;
RUSSIA - 400,000 descendants in Brazil;
IRELAND/ENGLAND - 300,000 descendants in Brazil;
CROATIA - 200,000 descendants in Brazil;
ISRAEL (JEWISH from Europe) - 120,000 (I believe that exist some million of jewish but many of them don't identify themselves as jewish but, as germans, poles and others.
USA - 30,000 - 55,000 descendants in Brazil.
BLue or green eyes are very common in all of the nations. So, it's common in Brazl, also.
My personal history: the parents of my grandmother came from Portugal. Her mother was blonde with blue eyes and her dad was brunette (brown hair) with brown eyes. Half of the children was born with blond hair and blue eyes. The others (including my grandmother) was born with brown hair and brown eyes. Just like myself.
Brazilians with blue / green eyes are very common. You can see this in Orkut, a similar to MySpace where you can find million of Brazilians is thousand of groups/communities about everything, what include to have blue/green eyes. Take a look (sign up for free login) in these communities and browse the members profiles:
