Confused Sponge

Sao Paulo vs. Rio De Janeiro ?

sao paulo is a very modern city and is the fashion and buisness capital of brazil.it has tall skyscrapers and the home of brazil f1 grand prix.it is also home to two of great museums.it has many exotic restaurants, five star hotels and nice nighclubs (pubs, lounges, bistros) to go clubbing to.

meanwhile rio has many wonderful beaches.a great place for summer.it also has a lot of historical places such as the huge jesus statue.

to me,sao paulo is better but of course when we visit other countries ,we want something different and unique than our own country (United States) .if we think like that,of course rio is the place to go.so please guys, help me choose.

I'll go with Rio, Endless fun !!!!

Rio and Sao Paulo are like two different countries. Not too many similarities except for the language and food.
Brazilians say that you make your money in Sao Paulo and spend and enjoy it in Rio. S.P. is the industrial and business center of the country. Rio is the social and entertainment mecca.Rich or poor, you work yourself to death in S.P.and in Rio you play until it kills you.

it's said that Sao Paulo is the city that works and that Rio is the city that plays, there is a super train that runs between the two daily. My choice would be to see them both, split your time up 50-50, kinda like the old bull and the young bull story.

If you like New York City, go to São Paulo. If you like Miami, go to Rio.
If you go to Rio, take some time to visit Buzios, a paradise-like peninsula, 2h away from Rio.
Another great thing to do is to save 3 days and to drive from São Paulo to Rio through the shore, there you will feel like the Caribbean...

Check out some beaches on the sources below

I agree with what has been posted. Think of São Paulo as a city to enjoy the night life and Rio to enjoy outdoor activities and natural beauties.
