Hi guys, just a quick question...
I adore the Brazilian Portuguese language, and have found some decent songs, which I find is the easiest way to learn some words an phrases (for me at least).
However, I have no idea whether I am listening to popular music or something completely retarded, since I have no idea what good bands there are over there. I just limewired 'Brazil' and downloaded a whole bunch of stuff, keeping the ones that sounded pretty decent.
I there anyone that might give me a few good bands/singers that are considered popular and actually good, from Brazil?

Thanks guys! Well I'm a huge jazzfan, so I've obviously heard of Stan Getz, but I was looking for some more recent stuff. like billboard chart stuff. I'm not assuming all Brazilian kids listen to Stan Getz haha.

Apart from what Andrei suggested, I am really fond of Martinho da Vila and Vanessa da Mata. If you are more into slow music (Bossa Nova, for example), Stan Getz is another "sacred monster". |
