As far as I remember it does not matter. Any car can go up to the main car park and the rest of the way you need to walk anyway...but that was 10 years ago...Good Luck and Enjoy |

Any Taxi can to go Christ statue road.
But, I should to combinate the price with taxi driver before the trip.
The ticket office is about R$10. The taxi trip is about R$30.
If you preffer, you can take a Train in Cosme Velho. All Drivers knows the station. |

i went there like 2 months ago, unlicensed taxi's are not allowed what you should do is go bye the little train. its 35$R that's like around 17$ its so much more fun and you can totally have a better experience, im from Rio and unless you are from there, the taxi drivers will take advantage that your a "gringo" even if your from another place in Brazil. careful because they don't play, the minute they see money they go crazy.

Hey! Are you kidding?
The Christ stays in the peak of a mountain. No taxi can go uu there! The only ways you can go is by train, rolling stairs and elevator.
Ok? |

I am not sure, in spite to live in Rio of January I went to Redeeming Christ a single time, and I went until the base of the mountain and I embarked in a tourist train that it goes up the mountain until the foot of the statue. |
