What's nice American gift to give a Brazilian? |
I'm trying to think of something unique that a Brazilian might find interesting (they are teenagers, one girl one boy). Any ideas or tips? |

Something about sports or the beach. Brazilians love to do sports but in this case, I wouldnt just generalize and say that all brazilians love this or that; I would actually ask their mum (of these two teenagers) and see what they actually like. They may not want a Tshirt or perfume, maybe they are into books, who knows! Dont generalize and say that because they're brazilians they might like this or that, ask a relative or a friend and look for something that these two realy like from the States. |

buy the girl some perfume because it is expensive in Brazil and the boy a cool baseball that has some sort of design on it. They don't have baseball in Brazil so he will like that. Hope this helps ^__^
Oh they also love sweets from here like donuts and especially cookies!!! I know 4 brazilians and they ALL loved cookies!! the moist ones. |

Actually we do have most imported good here, but keep in mind that eletronics are very expensive due to import tax %.
So iPods, mp3players, that sort of thing.
Running shoes are $$$ here as well, Nike being the most popular.
Clothing Im not so sure, cause the quality here is good and even though teens usually go for surf/beachwear, the styles are more provocative here.
I would go with something eletronic, an ipod or a nano or if you dont want to spend much just an mp3 player.
Maybe a portable dvd...
True about perfume, very $$$ here, but Dior is far from a teen´s taste... go younger like Britney or something like that...
I worked years on cruise ships and when we were doing Brazilian season the perfume shop was literally attacked by the Brazilians (duty free!!), the most popular brands were:
Carolina Herera (212 is very popular), CK, Armani, and anything from a young celebrity like Britney, no matter how disgusting the smell was :-)
For perfume, remeber you can buy at the duty free when arriving in Brazil and the prices are better than in the US.
They have eletronics as well, but the prices are no good. |

Hi. If you want to balance a reasonable price with something that might be unique, it could be a T-shirt/ sweater with a saying from your hometown, something cool originally from your hometown. Even, some fun games found in big stores like in Toy are us. |

My ex loved different candy I brought from home, and his sister loved the Dior perfume. Yes, that can be found in Brazil, but it's very expensive. Just a thought:) |

Wow! So much to chose from. Brazilian teenagers LOVE stuff from the United States.
Actually if you give them anything, I mean ANYTHING from the us they will love it!
For the girl you could get her a brand name t-shirt, like from tommy, abercrombie, guess. They LOVE roxy, billabong and all that crap.
For the buy you could get him billabong, rip curl, and of those brands stuff. You can buy that in Brazil but its expensive.
Actually, anything thats different they'll love. Because it probably wont exist in Brazil.
Good luckkk!!! |
