Jericoacoara is a beatiful beach in Fortaleza.
It is safe, but there is not much to do.
The woman there are not so pretty (I think), mostly the people there is poor.
These beach is far from the centrum of Fortaleza, about 4 hours by car. It is good to go just for stay 1 day.
That is only my opinion.

I already went there and is undoubtedly the most beautiful beach I have ever visited.

Jericoacoara, called affectionately, Jeri.

It's located 320 km from Fortaleza. You can go by bus to Jijoca of Jericoacoara and then go from truck or 4x4 vehicle. From Jijoca until Jeri are some kilometres of pure sand, and can only achieve 4x4 vehicles.
The village is small and quiet, the hostels are simple, without luxury.
In Jericoacoara has a large dune where all tourists go up at the end of the day to see the sunset.
The night, there are bars near the beach, restaurants and itinerant selling food and drink.
Most fun in Jeri are trips to the lagoons, sand dunes, mangroves and neighboring beaches.
It's also a haven for sports like surfing, sand board, windsurf, kite surf.
The cost of the trip is approximately U$ 900.00 / per person vacating of Sao Paulo. Excursions and meals not included.

It's a very beautiful, and it is where I chose to live in the future.

Dude, see some pictures:
