What are some decent zones to live in Sao Paulo?

My boyfriend and I want to move to Sao Paulo, and we would like to know which zones are relatively safe to find an apartment. Our budget is $500-600 per month. Please provide links of apartment rentals or info on safest zones in the city to live.

Thanks!

I don't know if you imagine the weight the word "decent" in Brazil.
You don't say if the values are in Real or in Dollar in both cases is very a little to pay a rent in a "decent" place. The rent of an apartment in São Paulo doesn't only implicate in the payment of the rent, but also the "condominium taxes".

one dollar = 2 Real

I agree, Jardins is a really nice place and there is also other places in Sao Paulo like around Paulista Avenue.. I loved the city, lived there all my life and miss it a lot, If you want a place really safe though you have to to the country which is beautifull too, but it's not a big deal, nowhere is really sage right now...

hello, like the whole place up in the United States is dangerous Sao Paulo is super unsightly kind you look right only to see apartamanto to left, front and behind only has buildings, I'm Brazilian and has lived in Sao Paulo type there has no beaches, I will not say that there is no more beautiful a city is totally black and white. If you and your boyfriend or live in Sao Paulo Welcome the Brazilians will receive you very much I Advisory you to live in the river of January Here in Brazil it is known as CITY wonderful, like this city has is beautiful beaches, waterfalls, cascades and very mais.Sei that the U.S. becomes very violent story of Rio de Janeiro there are more places that do not have all this violence and the of its budget until you rent a cottage on the beach (I think).
www.google.com and put into the river from Jan. You'll see how this city is really wonderful.

A hug

I spoke the more I hope I have helped

Dear, You will find a "decent" place to live here in São Paulo. Exemple: Jardins, Morumbi, Chacara Flora, Jardim Europa, Moema, Granja Viana, Parque dos Principes.....
