It depends where you are in Brazil and what you like to do. But as a Brazilian, I would suggest you to go to the Northeast of Brazil. Bahia is a great place to be, friendly people, nice weather, beautiful beaches, and reasonably cheap if compared to Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro for instance.... Have a look at TRANCOSO (South of Bahia, close to Porto Seguro), this is one of my favourite places in Brazil and it's the right place to be if you are in love http://www.trancoso.com/, this site is in English.

I was a Brazilian-American living in Brazil when I was 17. You're in luck. Unlike in the United States, in Brazil you can pretty much go to most bars/clubs without having to worry about IDs. Take the time to enjoy what it's like to be 21. Also, you can't go wrong hanging out on a Brazilian beach. It's a great place to meet cute girls/guys (not sure what you're into). Flirt. Shop. Be safe. |
