It depends what you work with, I mean about what software .
Also for living information. Sao Paulo is quite a big city and standard for apartment rental, for example, can vary a lot.
Based on what money can buy, not on the exchange rate. I can tell you information from my neiborhood that it considered good, is middle-high class:
- Apartment rental can cost like 3K on my actual building, but you probably can find something cheaper on the same area.
- Eletricity I might not me a reference, because I quite economic but for a house of 2, spends like 130 reais. Also you may have to pay property tax, water service, at least.
- Food, again it depends on your regular diet, restaurants are not cheap. And if you buy grocery, prices also may vary between neiborhoods.
- Tranport, traffic here is the worse thing so if you are not a consultant or something alike, I recommend you to live close by your job. Car here is a pretty expensive thing, as well as insurance. Public transportation can work if you are really determined to make it work, but it is not a good service.
Weather can be like Florida or south California, never snows unless you go to south states on winter.
Learn portuguese as quick as you can, because I won't be able to find so much information in English (I actually tried to find a few items that I think would be important to you, but no luck)
Good Luck. |

Some benefits that are obligatory for law.
Law 10.101/2000, treats of the participation of the profits of the company that the boss is forced to pay to the employees independent of the wage.
13rd wage, some companies pay 14 wages, but the 14th are not forced by law.
Transport ticket (for common employees the expense for the employee arrive from house to the Office it is paid by the employer).
Meal ticket (ticket that the boss gives to the employee for him to eat lunch the government finances part of that expense).
Warranty Fund, the boss is forced to maintain a bank account where monthly it is deposited 8% of the value of the employee's wage, and that money can only be withdraw if the employee be dismissed, or to buy a house, or to get married, or to contract serious disease, or to retire.
That is right guaranteed for law.
The great executives ask for apartment, 1 or 2 cars, school for the children, cares of health for the whole family, a house in the beach. |
