I have visited Brazil several times.
Brazil, if it didn't have corruption and in Justice, it could be the best country in the World.
The Brazilians are open and friendly people.
They produce Beautiful women and great Football players.
Rio de janeiro is one of the most beautiful cities in the World.
There are stretches of unexplored rainforest, islands with pristine tropical beaches, and endless rivers. And there are the people themselves, who delight the visitor with their energy and joy.
They are self sufficient in Oil. They are the most advanced country in Latin AMerican.
The Music is so good: Bossa Nova , Samba , Fervo
The are unique in producing , Brazil Nuts and acai ,
The are one of the major plane manaufacturers in the World.
Their National Dish is unique :Feoijada.
Brazil is the Future! |

I live in Florianópolis and am really pleased to read so many good opinions about it!
I have to agree, this place is really gorgeous. If you like hiking to beaches that are not accessible by car, and enjoying the sunset at a seafood restaurant, you are coming to the right place.
;)
There's also a LOT of young people here too, being a university town. So if you like partying it's also a hot spot for that.
Surf is also good. There's a WCT competition here every year. You could try windsurfing, kite-surfing or doing the regular thing if you're up for water sports.
You can e-mail me if you want more details or any help. |

Yes, I am from Brazil. I love my country and I am in America because married an American.
Go to Brazil during carnaval, but if you want a quiet place on the beach, go to Fortaleza (different places) or go to Manaus (jungle) or to south (Porto Alegre)...Many options. Brazil is a very large country you have many options. |

Yes, I lived there for a year and a half. Go to Florianópolis! It's beautiful with all the charm of Brazil a lot less of the crime and violence that you get in Rio or Sao Paulo. They have 42 beautiful beaches that they bost about and a great downtown with an artisean market, I loved Ingleses Beach and Naufragados Beach. Magnificent!!! Remeber the season's are reversed so go in the middle of December and you'll be there with all the Argentine tourists. Go in the end of march you'll catch the end of the "Summer" crowds and probably a great deal on a beach house to rent. Boa Viagem!! Be sure to go to Mini-Kalzone behind the Banco do Brasil in downtown across from the Plaza. |
