It is Portuguese. I believe the best translation for safado (safadinho is the diminutive) is naughty.

It does mean "little naughty" in portuguese.

mischievous little one.... or naughty little one! in portuguese... the "nh" doesn't exist in spanish in that way!

It's Portuguese. It means "naughty little boy" or "playboy". For a girl it would be "safadinha" (diminutive of safada).
