What is the name of a species of Dancing Bird in South America?

I actually happend to see a very interesting bird featured on a show. 3 - 4 male birds trying to flirt with a female bird by making really cute dance moves. They are very colourful and a little small. The one with the best moves gets to be with the female and the rest flies away with a gracious dance move again. They are from the Amazon........

Can any of u pls give me more info on this.... Name , Pic, etc.
They were so cute....... iam still looking for more details abt them.

Thanks.

viaj... :)
They were probably manakins (saltarín in Spanish), found all over South and Central America.

I agree, they are so cute!

The video below shows two males singing and jumping. They are Long-tailed manakins (Chiroxiphia linearis). In Spanish they are called Saltarín Toledo:

If you want more videos of manakins, please visit:

You can read more about them on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pipridae Apparently the male is only good for singing and dancing, the female is the one taking care of their little ones!
