I would visit Manaus in the heart of Brazil, where the great Amazon and N egro rivers meet - the city being hundreds of miles up the Amazon yet accessible to ocean-going vessels. Manaus was a centre of art and culture in the days of the incredibly rich rubber barons (not, not 'robber' barons) and I would hope to find much of the fine architecture and history of those times survives. |

I would visit Rio de Janeiro cause is the most beautiful city in the world. I would visit also beaches in northeast (In Alagoas, Natal, Fortaleza). But I love nature, then I´d visit Manuas and Mato Grosso do Sul (forest and "pantanal").

Rio & salvador, these are both beach cities and you will have tons of fun in both. Salvador is less popular so it is much more inexpensive and they have the best capoeira there. |

hi there!!! i am brazilian so i can definately help!! if u are looking for beaches DONT go to rio de janeiro, it used to be beautiful, but it isnt anymore (trust me i've been there) i would recomend an island on the northeastern coast called Fernando de Noronha, its beautiful there!! the sea is cristalin and the weather is great, the island is known for it natural beauty and ppl go scuba diving there to see the corals and the sea, its truly gorgeous (much better than copabana beach) the beaches found in the northeast are the most beatiful of the country!! But the continental area of that place is poor... but not the litoral, so dont worry^^ if u want to see somewhere else, you could go to the south!! there's a famous beach city that is not that full called Florianópolis and even if u are not looking for beaches, the whole south of Brazil is great^^ if you would like to get to know the Amazonic forest, indeed the city of Manaus is a good choice (though i've never been there). São Paulo is a big city like any other, u can go to great restaurants and nightclubs so if u are looking for nightlife, here's the place!! but seariously, you have got to know Fernando de Noronha!! i would say its the most beatifull place!! trust me! |
