pocahontas

What´s in your mind about Brazil ?

The idea is share all you know and think about this country, it´s culture, sports , politics, language, , food and people .. can be anything!
And if you don´t know nothing about it , what would you like to discover ? now is the opportunity !

Do you know something in portuguese ?

kisses

I'm thinking of a big country with a wonderful climate and gorgeous sandy beaches, Rio with Sugarloaf, Corcovado and all attractions for tourists, but also the poor people and the high crime rate unfortunately. I wish that could be changed.

I'm sure that there is a lot of things to be done for the people in Brazil, to make their lives better and I truly wish for them that it will happen.

Thinking of the Carnival, getting those awesome photos on my mind:

Portuguese is a difficult language, much more difficult than Spanish, which I only understand some of :-)

The most spectacular sight in Brazil have to be Cataratas del Iguazú in Iguazú National Park, on the border to Argentina.

275 waterfalls in an 3 km long halfmoon is such a powerful sight - and sound!

I was there in Nov 2005. So beautiful so there is no word for it!

(No wonder it's declared World Heritage site)

well i live in Brazil 17 years now ..lived in Michigan for 24 yrs before difficult to get used to the culture shock .People here are very nice but need to be careful.. the politics are in favor who have money. you pay alot of taxes here and the benefits are the worst you can imagine hospitals overcrowded and understaffed .people die while waiting to be treated .corruption is a national disease ,,the food is fantastic and cheap compared to USA ..the principal dish here is rice and beans .very good ..sports here is soccer .they show games in prime time three times a week.. its unfortunate that its a dirty place to live in inner city ..example downtown Sao Paulo.. me personally i have a house on the beach ..can hear the waves at night in bed ..big house cheap compared to USA house prices paid 30,000 dollars 8 years ago ...meat here very cheap fillet mignon 5 dollars a pound .. and Brazilians make a rocking bar b que well I speak portuguese fluently and english

I think Brazil is a beautiful country. Very wealthy in raw materials, but many parts are also very poor.

Many people move to the city for a better education, lifestyle, job and so on.

People are very nice. 7% of the population is unemployed, so its not so bad for recession. Alot of tourism is even has the Jesus statue.

Its great in its art..Hopefully one day i'll go there.

Hope it helps ;)
