petropolis can be a little bit cold because it's a place in the mountains. rio the weather in may is good, not too warm and not cold at all. if you are used to cold then you will find rio in may paradise. about iguacu falls i don't know, never been there |

A very fine coat, t-shirts , pants and don't forget the umbrella! If you would like buy an umbrella here it costs R$5,00.
Ah, Petrópolis is very cold you should bring a really coat only to put when you will be in Petrópolis.
Foz do Iguaçu is in South. The south of Brazil is very cold too. You should bring some coats. |

My feelings - Bathing suit for Rio and a light jacket for the Falls. Normal jeans, tshirts, and shorts and a nicer outfit. Even this is their fall, it is so close to the equator it stays quite warm |
