With a quick look at lonely planet, they show pickpocketing, and other scams around that town. a cheap hotel room is $12-15. so monthly rent should be about $200. Im in uruaguay and a three bedroom house rents for $80-$140. Alittle surf out front.. If you want surf Then I recommend Peru. We rented a house 1 block from the beach with a good view for $150 Month. And the surf pumps. Check Chicama, The longest left in the world (long wave dirty town). We lived 45 min south of chicama in Huanchaco. It would be best to decide a location then go there and then find a place to live, you'll find a better place for less expensive.
